Women’s Sports Foundation

I have been fortunate to be competing in a sport where men and women are basically treated the same way. From the beginning, snowboarding has been a sport for both men and women, girls and boys, we’re all friends and all part of one family, and it’s one of the things I love about the sport. That doesn’t mean I haven’t recognized some of the challenges that female athletes face, and I’m proud to be a part of the Women’s Sports Foundation, an organization committed to equal play for girls and boys.

A few years ago, I started going to their Annual Salute to Women in Sports, an amazing fundraiser that brings together the top women in every sport – it is an incredible inspiration. This organization is doing remarkable things each and every day, implementing programs that are truly making a difference for young girls. Now I’m joining their Athlete Advisory Panel and doing what I can to help further their mission. Check out their website at womenssportsfoundation.org
